О курсу. Писани, ликовни и археолошки извори. Религија и магија.

2. недеља
предавање - Религија у контексту.
Природно окружење и египатско друштво.

3. недеља
предавање - Египатска слика света
Космогонија и космологија; митови; концепт божанског.

4. недеља
предавање - Краљ
Природа краљевске моћи; улоге краља и краљевски ритуали. Промене у улози краља

5. недеља
предавање - Кућа бога - храм
Храмовски ритуали, празници. Свештенство. Организација храма. Хијерархија учесника у ритуалима и приступачност храма. Интегративна функција празника у друштву.

6. недеља
семинар - Ехнатнова верска реформа
Историјски и друштвени контекст, домети, последице

7. недеља
предавање - Озирис
Bог загробног живота – развој веровања, митологија, култ, празници. Абидос као култни центар

8. недеља
предавање - Схватања о загробном животу.
Обреди прелаза; посмртни култ и задужбине. Очување тела и гробница.

9. недеља
предавање - Лична побожност
Религија и магија у свакодневном животу појединца, заштита породице. Комуникација са боговима и покојницима. Деификација.

10. недеља
семинар - Одступање од норме
Поштовање и запостављање покојника. Пљачкање гробница. Узурпирање гробница, скулптуре, коришћење сполија; храмовска скровишта за скулптуре.

11. недеља
предавање - Економија и религија
Храмовска економија, краљ и друштво. Економија фунерарне културе.

12. недеља
предавање - Религија и друштвени односи.
Маат – одржање света и друштва. Утицај промена у друштву на религију (примери: промене у значају краља, храмовске архитектуре и у фунерарној књижевности и пракси)
